Australian Visitor Visas − "onshore" extension information |
|
This article is written by Simon Delmo, our Senior Migration Agent.
At National Visas we are regularly contacted by clients who are in Australia and enjoying themselves, so naturally they would like to extend their stay as a visitor or tourist, or to spend more time with their Australian relative or partner. Before applying for a visitor visa from inside Australia, there are a number of important things to consider.

Employers (sponsors) let's clear up some of the myths... |
|
This article is written by Ivanna Cheng, our resident Employer Sponsored visa expert.
At National Visas, we talk to employers from all over Australia (and overseas) who are interested in sponsoring people to work in Australia. We commonly come across preconceived notions of what employers have "heard" about the requirements for employer sponsored visas. More often than not, these assumptions are out dated, misinterpreted or plain incorrect.

Landing a job in Australia − explore hidden opportunities! |
|
With Australia's active domestic and foreign skilled migration, searching for jobs can sometimes become challenging for unemployed expatriates. These migrants tend to rely on traditional job sources like newspapers and the internet, but they are less aware that a hidden jobs market in Australia exists.

Australia needs digital marketing professionals |
International recruitment experts predict that Australia will have serious skill shortage in digital marketing technology jobs in about a decade due to the rapid evolution in the digital marketing industry.
Marketing experts in Australia said that in about 10 years, the digital marketing landscape will demand integration of digital and social marketing channels. In turn, this will drive a hike in the number of trained professionals needed with the right skills. This trend will also spur an active utilisation of the Australian working visa, a scheme that makes jobs in Australia accessible to skilled foreign migrants.

‘Hot Tip’ for December:
One of the most common situations we encounter is people leaving their visa application until the last minute. Whilst we do everything we can to help with urgent processing, some things are beyond our control.
It is really important that you leave us plenty of time to prepare and lodge your application, and plenty of time for the Department of Immigration to make the decision. Depending on the visa type (and the passport you hold) this can take weeks or months. For example, a visitor with a UK passport may be processed in one day, but a Brazil passport holder's visa could take 4 weeks.
We urge you to make your application as early as possible to avoid being disappointed or having to change your flights, which can be a costly experience!
